Fly Fishing and Light Tackle Charters from Topsail Island to Bald Head Island

“ Come reset your clock to Cape Fear time … where there are no numbers on the face of the dial, only increments of tides, salt, and memories” -                         Capt. Todd Streeter

Ready yourself for an  angling experience like no other! Ride along as we navigate our way through one of the richest most diverse fisheries on the East coast. From the Tanin stained waters of the Cape Fear River (Home to Migrating Tarpon, Redfish, Sea Trout, Flounder,  Bluefish, Ladyfish, and Spanish Mackeral ) to the clear, high salinity, and grass littered  flats to the North, most noted for the phenominal sight fishing they provide for schools of Redfish. All along the way, you will witness more opportunities for shallow water Fly and Light Tackle angling than you ever dreamed possible . Welcome to my obsession, and I look forward to sharing it all with you.

Tournaments

This year, I will be teaming up with partner Darin Strickland of Long Bay Custom Boatworks to fish the Atlantic Division of the IFA Redfish Tour!

We will be fishing from the new 2100 Finchaser, one of the most capable Tournament rigged crossover skiffs on the market. Powered by a fuel sipping Suzuki 140 4 stroke and decked out with every tournament option. Long runs or skinny water, this boat is perfectly at home in both.

Tour events include ;  Charleston March 28th,  Surf City May 23rd. ,  and Morehead City Sept. 26th.

Come out and see us or tune in on FSN and Americana Outdoors for exciting televised coverage.

Trips

  • CAPE FEAR FLATS - Half Day or Full Day Fly and Light Tackle fishing trips departing from Ft. Fisher, Southport,  Bald Head Island, Topsail Island, Oak Island, and Sneads Ferry. We will pole the oyster strewn flats, grass margins, and creeks while targeting the many Reds, Trout, and Black Drum that inhabit the shallows. Most of our fish will be caught in less than 2 feet of water... A sight fishermans dream!
  • TAILING REDFISH - Half Day trips targeting tailing Redfish departing from Ft. Fisher, Topsail Island, Oak Island / Southport , and Bald Head Island. Perhaps your interset lies in getting a shot at tailing Redfish high in the Spartina grass during evening full and new moon periods. Sight fishing is the name of the game here and a keen eye alert to gently waving tails and small splashes as these fish gorge on Fiddler and Calico Crabs will reward you with one of the most challenging inshore angling experiences possible! Expect some of the most breathtaking scenery the Cape Fear Coast has to offer, you will see in addition to Tailing and backing Redfish; White Ibis, Rails, Otters, Red Fox, White Tailed Deer and simultaneous Sun Set/Moon Rise! This approach is more akin to hunting than fishing, once you've tried it you will never be the same.
  •  INSHORE - Half and Full Day departing from Surf City, North Topsail Beach, Sneads Ferry, Bald Head Island, Southport, and Oak Island.  Multi-species trips targeting Tarpon, Speckled Trout, Bluefish, Spanish Mackeral, Triple Tail and Lady Fish.
