What To Expect/What To Bring

WHAT TO EXPECT: Your trip will be spent in the furthest reaches of the Lower Cape Fear backwaters, far from the reminders of our hectic civilized world. Whether its sight casting on unpressured remote flats so shallow the Redfish crawl rather than swim, or slinging plugs to Speckled Trout busting on Shrimp in an endless maze of deep tidal creeks, I emphasize a full experience. Beginner or seasoned angler, you will experience the best shallow water angling the Cape Fear has to offer in addition to the complex ecology, history, and scenic beauty that team to make this one of a kind fishery so special. Do not expect to anchor in the ICW and chunk bait.
WHAT TO BRING: North Carolina Coastal Recreational Fishing License, wide brimmed hat, polarized sunglasses, rain gear(even if not forecast), comfortable footwear (with non marking soles), flats boots or wading shoes(for tailing trips), any required medications, and your smile are all that's necessary to insure a memorable trip.
WHAT IS PROVIDED: Spinning and Fly tackle from Shimano,Temple Fork Outfitters, Power Pro, and Jim Teeny Fly Lines. Hand tied flies, digital photos/video(video highlights of your trip will be available via Vimeo and You Tube), tackle friendly sunscreen/insect repellant, ice, water, soft drinks (Full day trips include lunch) Please keep in mind, you will be fishing from a shallow draft flats skiff, and excessive gear cannot be accommodated.
